Meet Our Team

Kody Redwing

Kody is the Founder and President of Ozarks Capital and has over 15 years of banking and operational experience. Before starting Ozarks Capital, Kody began his career in several areas of Commercial Banking with an emphasis in Commercial Loan Underwriting and Origination. Kody joined a vertically integrated Real Estate development, design, and construction company in 2017 as an analyst. He later held the role of CFO before becoming the company’s President in January 2023. Over his career, he has been involved in more than $1 billion of commercial debt and equity transactions.

Kody is originally from Warsaw, MO and he earned his bachelor’s in finance degree from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO.
Outside of work, Kody is deeply passionate about spending time with his wife, Rebekah and their two sons, Owen and Jackson. He enjoys sports, traveling, and reading.

Doug Russell

Doug Russell is an Officer and Director of multiple manufacturing businesses in Southwest, Missouri, bringing over 40 years of executive leadership experience. In addition to serving as President of multiple entities during his career, he has played a key role in numerous industry acquisitions. All of these acquisitions remain closely held entities.

Doug is an alumnus of the University of Missouri and a graduate of the Harvard Executive Leadership Program. He is the previous Chairman of the Missouri Republican Party and has twice been appointed to the University of Missouri Board of Curators by the Governor. He currently serves on the advisory board of Commerce Bank.

John Russell

John Russell founded Pillar Insurance in 2016 and has extensive experience in business management. While overseeing the rapid growth of Pillar Insurance and positioning it as a premier firm in Southwest, Missouri, he also has years of involvement with the operations of a family manufacturing operation. John previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff for former Missouri Governor Matt Blunt.

John is very involved in the community and was appointed to the Greene County Commission in 2019, elected in 2020 and reelected in 2024. John serves on multiple boards, including Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (past president and current Executive Committee member), Ozarks Transportation Organization (Chairman) and University of Missouri Extension – Greene County Extension Council (member). John holds a degree in business administration from the University of Missouri and lives near Springfield with his wife, Jenilee and their two kids.

Jason Russell

Jason Russell joined Pillar Insurance as Partner in 2017, where he managed the opening of the Lebanon, MO location. His roles are numerous; day-to-day operations, fostering commercial and personal relationships, and community involvement. Prior to joining Pillar, Jason worked at a bank as Commercial Lender/Vice President.

Jason was born and raised in Lebanon, Mo, and that is where he resides with his wife, Mary and two boys, Drew and Spencer. Jason earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri. Jason is very involved in the Lebanon community serving on numerous boards and clubs. He enjoys all things basketball and watching the Mizzou Tigers.

Jordan Russell

Jordan Russell joined Pillar Insurance as Partner in 2016, for the opening of the Springfield MO location. His roles include, Commercial lines business development, carrier relations, and community involvement in the Springfield market. He specializes in Construction and Real Estate Development risks. Prior to joining Pillar, Jordan worked for Learfield Communications, focusing on brand development.

Jordan was born and raised in Lebanon, Mo, and now resides in Springfield MO with his wife, Gabby and daughter Quinn. Jordan earned his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Missouri and Master’s in business administration from Missouri State University. Jordan is a member of Hickory Hill’s Country Club and Southeast Rotary of Springfield. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and Mizzou sports.
